CLASS DESCRIPTIONS
Bellydancing A range of different styles from Arabic and Mediterranean countries, including the use of props such as veils, sticks and zills (finger cymbals). Includes cabaret, classical, regional folk and modern / contemporary styles to name a few. Classes cover technique breakdown, improvisation and choreography.
Tribal Style Bellydancing This community dance form incorporates Middle Eastern, Gypsy, Indian and Flamenco styles. Tribal is an improvised group dance style incorporating a vocabulary of movements and cues. It has an earthy, gypsy aesthetic including full, swishing skirts and heavy tribal style adornment including tassels, chunky metal, shells, coins, mirrors and ethnic glass beads in place of sequins and glitz. Come join the Tribe!
Arabic Drumming Learn rhythms on tabla, doholla, duff (frame drum) and zills.
